The LIXIL Front Contest recognizes excellent works from among construction examples from all over the country that use LIXIL's front sashes (building materials for stores), and introduces the winning works through our website and catalogue. This contest was started in 1989 with the aim of improving design and construction techniques for fronts (store facades), and this year marks the 34th time the contest has been held.
The chairman of the judging committee was Mr. Kiharu Tsuge, a spatial producer and professor emeritus at Chiba University. There were gold, silver, bronze, and special awards from each category of ``Large Facility Category,'' and the awards were determined and announced on February 15, 2024, and an award ceremony was held.
The reasons why “Ark Tategamori Farm Entrance” won the Silver Award are as follows.
``It was a highly difficult project that involved combining sashes from multiple angles, but the project received high praise for the beautiful harmony between the curved façade and the wooden structure in the bright, open space that made extensive use of glass.''
