The cat mint in the lavender fields has bloomed!

Catmint/Nepeta≫ Perennial

Catmint is a herb of the mint family native to Europe, known commercially as nepeta and in Japanese as inuhakka.
Last year, 1,800 plants were planted in the lavender fields as a nectar source, and their small blue-purple flowers bloom in spikes that look just like lavender.

Cat mint is primarily used for decorative purposes, but its sweet-smelling leaves are said to be a favorite scent of cats.
It is also used as a companion plant, and it is said that planting it at the base of roses will help keep pests away and help the roses grow. It also looks great growing at the base of the roses, so it's a perfect match.
It has a long flowering period, blooming from spring to autumn, and is hardy and easy to grow, making it a recommended herb for your garden.
