The weather continues to be sunny, as if spring has passed and summer has arrived.
The flowers at Tategamori Ark Farm also bloom about 1 to 2 weeks early this year.
As of May 1st, the cherry blossoms are starting to fall, but the double cherry blossoms are about to reach their peak, and the tulips are still in full bloom.
Well, yesterday morning, I saw a Japanese serow while commuting.
I was surprised when it suddenly jumped out at a place where there was only one lane in each direction due to construction!
Luckily there was no car following me, so I stopped the car and took a quick look.
At first, I thought it was a raccoon because of its slightly overweight body.
In fact, the Japanese serow is not a member of the deer family, but a member of the bovidae family.
By the way, the photo below is of a red deer kept at Tategamori Ark Farm.
This is a true member of the deer family, so it has a very slim body.
Japanese serows often appear on the farm, so you might even be able to meet them when you visit.
