The 1st Tategamori Marathon "Gottsuo Marathon" was held in a light rain.

Start at Hana to Izumi Park and finish at Tategamori Kogen Hotel, approximately 11.5km (adult section).
Starting from Iwate Safari Park, approximately 2.5 km (for elementary school students and younger), finishing at Tategamori Kogen Hotel.
A total of 42 people participated.

The top adult racer ran for 41 minutes and 47 seconds, which is incredibly fast, and someone like me probably wouldn't be able to run 200 meters with him.
The top time for elementary school students and younger was 10 minutes and 37 seconds.

The top female participant completed the race with a time of 56 minutes and 34 seconds, which is also an impressive record.
All participants were able to complete the race without any injuries or accidents.
Although it was our first attempt, we event staff members were also relieved.

As the name of the Gottsuo Marathon suggests, after finishing the run, a bath and a treat were waiting for us at the Takagen Hotel.
The participation prize will be an assortment of proud products from each organization at Ecole Tategamori.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, both adults and children, received very luxurious and delicious items.

I think I will hold a marathon every year from now on.
Taking into account what we learned from this year, we would like to make the Tategamori Marathon even more enjoyable to run.
