Hello.

This is Ito from the Agriculture and Pasture Department.
Do you know the relationship between the color of egg yolk and its nutritional value and taste?
For some reason, eggs that are dark in color seem to be more nutritious and delicious.
However, it is said that just because the yolk is dark in color does not change its nutritional value.

The color of the yolk is determined by the color of the feed the chicken eats.
Therefore, for example, if you keep feeding them red food, you can make them lay reddish eggs.
Therefore, the color of the yolk has little to do with its nutritional value, but chickens whose food is easily transferred directly to the eggs must be fed high-quality feed.

The natural yolk color is light yellow, but eggs with dark orange yolks are generally preferred in Japan, so the chickens at Tategamori Ark Farm also use vegetables derived from red paprika in their feed. I add this to make the egg yolks darker in color. The food also stands out.

Be sure to purchase and try the rich and delicious old eggs, which are carefully selected not only for the care but also for the food and other aspects!
