The days are getting warmer and warmer, and I feel that spring is coming.

Unfortunately it was raining today...
From the perspective of the animal staff at Tategamori Ark Farm, we will introduce ``Things that make you think spring has come when you see this''!

① The peacock spreads its wings.

In fact, peacocks do not spread their wings all year round.
During the spring breeding season, males spread their wings to attract females.
The wings spread wide are very beautiful, and when you see a proud male peacock, it makes you feel like spring is here.
It was warm this year, so I started spreading it around the end of February.

Currently, the aviary is covered with ``winterproof vinyl'' and ``bird net'' to prevent avian influenza infection from wild birds.
It's very difficult to see, but please wait until it gets a little warmer.

②The antlers of the deer fall off.

The red deer and fallow deer on the farm shed their antlers once a year in the spring and regrow.
The new antlers grow even larger, and during the autumn breeding season, the males use them as weapons to fight with each other.
Every year, the big-horned bosses are the first to shed, so it's during this spring that there's a lot of drama, with young males eagerly launching attacks and mauling.
This year, for some reason, the number 2 horn was the first to fall out.
There are up to No. 5 at the deer farm in the back, so I wonder what will happen next...

Left side) No. 2 with fallen horns It has become completely quiet and is blending in with the females.
The boss is watching the situation in the back on the right side. I guess it's about time for the boss.

As mentioned above, you can feel spring through flowers and the behavior of animals.
