My name is Hatsune Sato and I joined the company on April 1st.
At university, I learned about how to interact with the natural environment and people, such as wildlife management.
For example, if we consider bears that cause agricultural damage,
Instead of saying, "Let's capture and kill them because it will cause agricultural damage!", we should say things like, "Let's put up a fence to prevent them from entering the farm," or "Let's mow the grass around the forest and eliminate paths for them to pass through." We will continue to explore appropriate ways to engage with the public.
In reality, there are many different situations, so there is no single correct answer, even if we take a bear as an example.
However, for me, I found it very interesting to maintain an appropriate distance from the natural environment through trial and error depending on the situation.
I chose this company because I was interested in food and circular agriculture.
I became interested in food after my parents became ill. Also, while interacting with farmers through club activities at university, I realized the appeal of practicing circular agriculture in the community.
Our company produces carefully selected products, including ham sausages. I sympathized with this commitment and felt that I wanted to work for this company.
Currently, he is assigned to the breeding pig farm at Fujisawa Farm, where he handles day-to-day operations.
The main task of a breeding farm is the artificial insemination of pigs. This is the very first stage of the pig farming business and is a very important operation.
I think there will still be many days with severe temperature fluctuations, but I will continue to take good care of my pigs and myself, and continue with my day-to-day operations.
