It's already been 10 days since Golden Week has passed.
The cherry blossoms that were in full bloom around Golden Week have turned fresh green...
The flowers of the tulips have fallen... (By the way, bulb digging starts tomorrow!!)
Currently, azaleas and other flowers are gradually coming to their peak.
In fact, this flowering tree has also been secretly blooming!
This is Yamaboushi.
Yamaboshi is a plant in the Corinthaceae family, and its flowering period is from mid-May to the end of June.
They are pale yellow and small, and many gather in a stadium, and on the outside there are four large white capsules that look like petals.
It may not be as showy as it blooms at the tips of the branches after the leaves appear first, but it also has a long viewing period of one month, making it very valuable as a flowering tree during the rainy season.
In the fall, the fruit ripens to a reddish-orange color, and the flesh is sticky and sweet and can be eaten raw.
At Ark Farm, the Yamaboushi is the symbol tree, and the large tree you pass on the way from the customer parking lot to the herb hall and plant shop is the symbol tree, the Yamaboushi. In addition, about 500 trees have been planted on the agricultural road leading up to the farm and within the grounds.
As you can see in the photo, the petals have finally appeared on the leaves. I think the best time to see them will be early next month.
I hope that by then, “that virus” will have subsided and we can go out with a little bit of peace of mind.
