At Tategamori Ark Farm, we raise two types of peafowl: Indian peafowl and white peafowl.
During the courtship season from spring to early summer, the male spreads his feathers wide and begins to appeal to the female.

It's so beautiful!
After the couple is established, the female lays and stores several eggs and begins incubation.
While incubating the eggs, they hardly try to eat and keep the eggs warm as if they were important.
Is it the work of maternal instinct?
