This winter has been characterized by heavy snow and extremely cold temperatures, but recently there have been days when the temperature has reached 10 degrees Celsius or higher during the day.
It seems like spring has finally arrived.
Vegetable cultivation this winter did not grow as expected due to the drop in soil temperature due to the extremely cold weather, and it seems that cultivation management was difficult. However, when I ate the leafy vegetables that had been exposed to the cold air, they seemed to taste sweeter, perhaps because they absorbed more nutrients into their bodies than usual.
From the beginning of the new year, we started sowing vegetables for spring and summer harvest. At the beginning of the year, there were some areas where growth was slow due to the cold weather, but with the recent warm weather, we are making up for that delay, so we will continue to work hard to ensure that we can provide them at restaurants and by mail.
The vegetables grown at ARK Farm are fed with a fertilizer called ``Tategamori Dochi no Megumi,'' which is made at the ARK Group's organic fertilizer center, as base fertilizer and top dressing. Tategamori Dochi no Megumi is a mixture of three types of manure: chicken manure, pig manure, and cow manure, and is mixed with bark and food residue to ensure moisture and heat, resulting in a compost with a less imbalanced composition, making it suitable for beginners. It is also a gentle fertilizer. In addition, this fertilizer has been certified as an "organic JAS compliant material", which is proof that it uses natural ingredients, and is friendly to soil, crops, and the environment, so it is a good choice for those who grow crops. I hope that people who are thinking about trying their hand at gardening will give it a try and experience the wonders of this organic fertilizer.
