Hello, I'm Chiba, in charge of the farm's flower shop "Plant Shop."
The cold weather continues every day. I can't wait for the arrival of spring these days. There are many days when the maximum temperature is below freezing. Despite these extremely cold days, flower seedlings that will brighten up the farm from spring are steadily growing in the nursery house in one corner of the farm.
This time, I would like to introduce the situation of the main flower seedlings.
Pansies and violas are indispensable for spring gardening as they bloom for a long time from winter to spring.
We have prepared about 40 different types that we hope everyone will enjoy this year. It grows strong by being exposed to cold weather.
This is a three-inch verbena seedling that dyed Yumemigaoka Garden with purple flowers in early summer last year.
The seedlings that were sown in the fall after collecting the seeds themselves are growing well. (I was relieved that it grew so big because I had died from downy mildew.)
I'm raising a lot of seedlings this year to try a new challenge.
And the leading role of the autumn ranch! amethyst sage.
It is difficult to survive the winter in extremely cold alleys, so make small seedlings from cuttings. They are sensitive to cold, so be careful about temperature control.
I can't wait to see these seedlings grow up safely and spread the velvety purple all over the field.
Many other seedlings are being grown for spring, so we are getting busier day by day.
I would like to work hard this year as well, praying that the beautiful flowers that bloom will add color to the farm and bring smiles to everyone's faces.
