The wheat produced at ARK Ranch is grown in organic JAS certified fields.
Then, if you think that the flour sold at the ranch is organic JAS flour! !
It's actually a little different.
Until now, the wheat (brown barley) produced at our ranch has been outsourced to an external factory to be milled. The factory is not organic JAS certified, so we also handle conventionally cultivated wheat from other companies.
In order to claim organic JAS-certified flour, it is necessary to mill with equipment that handles only wheat produced in organic JAS-certified fields so that there is no contamination with wheat produced in fields that are not organic JAS-certified. is.
Last year, a new milling machine was introduced to the ranch, and we actually did test milling. I think it will be fully operational after a while. Around that time, it will be sunny, and not only wheat flour, but also bread and sweets made at the farm market can be labeled as "using organic JAS flour home-grown at ARK Ranch."
Acquiring organic JAS for wheat flour involves applying for certification and screening, so it will take some time, but I hope that the introduction of the flour milling machine this time will be a step in that direction, and I hope you will watch over it from a long-term perspective.
Another long-time dream is about to come true!
