Hello everyone.
A severe cold wave hit during this three-day weekend, causing heavy snowfall and severe cold in many areas.
The severe cold weather continues here at ARK Tategamori, but we are taking various measures to protect the animals from the cold and illness. Today, I would like to talk about the measures we take to protect the health of our chickens.
First, we install fans near the ceiling to circulate the warm air inside the chicken coop.
We have designed it so that the warm air near the ceiling is directed toward the floor where the chickens are.
In addition to the cold, chickens also need to be careful of humidity.
We use curtains to ventilate the room properly to prevent humidity from becoming too high, and to ensure that it is not too cold or humid.
Finally, since diseases such as bird flu are more likely to spread in winter, we disinfect the air with disinfectant.
This makes the chickens less susceptible to diseases.
Even though it's the end of February, the cold weather is likely to continue.
However, I will continue to work hard to raise the chickens so that they can live healthy lives!
