The Ark Tategamori Gotsuo Ekiden was held in grand style on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025!
This was the first time that the relay race was held in the Tategamori area, and a total of 36 teams entered this time. Four people passed the sash along the 21.2km round trip course, and in fine weather, there were no dropouts and all teams completed the course!
In addition, pork miso soup, boiled eggs, snacks, drinks, etc. were served at the relay points and the finish line of the relay. After the relay ended, a feast (gottsuo) using Ark Tategamori products such as the branded pork "Tategamori Kogen Pork" and "Mukashi Tamago" (old fertilized eggs) was served at the buffet of the natural food restaurant Tils, and furthermore, at the Tategamori Kogen Hotel "Masabo no Yu", participants were able to wash off their sweat after the race in a semi-natural thoron hot spring using "thoron ore" that generates negative ions. All the staff did their best to provide hospitality to ensure the satisfaction of all the participants.

Finally, as this was the first time that the relay race was held in the Tategamori area, there were some changes to the bus departure time and inadequacies with the luggage delivery system, which we deeply apologize for causing inconvenience to the runners on the day. We were also able to hold this race thanks to the support and cooperation of many people, including the Iwate Prefectural Athletics Association, the Iwate Safari Park at Ecole Tategamori, Tategamori Kogen Hotel, Hana to Izumi no Koen Park, and the nearby marathon event office (※), who all provided support on the day.
