At Ark Tategamori, the full-fledged sheep birthing season has finally arrived.

This year, we expect 80 ewes to give birth, and about 120 lambs will be born by mid-April.

The most important thing here is whether the lamb is able to drink colostrum after it is born.

Some mother ewes are unable to nurse their lambs properly, and in such cases staff sometimes provide some assistance by helping the lambs drink the colostrum.

The next three months will be the busiest period of the year.
