The 10th Kinenkan-ga-mori Gotsuo Marathon was held on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, with great fanfare!

This year marked the 10th anniversary of the event, but due to snow and ice caused by the cold wave, cancellation was on the horizon, and we were forced to make an extremely difficult decision to hold the event until the very last moment. However, thanks to the final decision of Shizu Hashimoto, the representative of Ecole Tategamori, who is also known as the "sunshine girl," to "go ahead!", the event was able to be held without any problems.

This time, we had guests Fujipon, a local idol from Iwate Prefecture, and Ganbare Yusuke from Yoshimoto Kogyo, and the mayor of Ichinoseki, the president of the Ichinoseki Tourist Association, and the president of the Ichinoseki Athletics Association also attended the opening ceremony. Thus, the marathon, the largest ever, with 500 participants, was held in good weather and without any accidents. We believe that the runners who participated were also very satisfied.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the various organizations and companies that provided support, the local residents who cheered us on from the sidelines, the Iwate Prefecture Athletics Association who provided support on the day, and the neighboring marathon event offices (※) - all of whom provided support and cooperation that made this event a success.
