I came to ARK in January, and the chickens have started laying eggs.
As I wrote in my previous blog, free-range chickens find their favorite places and lay eggs there.
The chickens who came in January do not lay in the nest boxes that are permanently installed in the poultry house, and they seem to like a certain corner.
↑ Permanent birdhouse
If this continues, the eggs will break and the chickens will eat the eggs, and the chickens will develop an egg-eating habit, so we added nest boxes.
↑ Added nest box
The chickens here are now 150 days old, and the egg-laying peak of the chickens is said to be 200 days old.
There is still a long way to go until the peak.
It was a poultry farming staff who responded to the requests of the chickens, hoping that the chickens would move their favorite places to their permanent nest boxes!
*The habit of eating eggs is a habit in which chickens learn the taste of eggs and pick and crack the eggs that they lay.
