nice to meet you all.
My name is Akuri Chiba and I have been assigned to Kurokizawa Farm since October 1st of last year.
I have worked at several companies to fatten pigs, but Ark's number of pigs is literally on an order of magnitude!
We ship 3 to 9 times as many animals per day as our previous company, and every time we ship, the coats we wear get drenched in sweat.
I love manual labor, and I roll up my sleeves every day, whether it's sunny or snowy, feeling a sense of accomplishment in the way I work and the feeling of being in danger of heatstroke. I enjoy working with style.
However, due to the large number of animals, it can be frustrating to not be able to detect and treat diseases early.
If it had been treated at an early stage, it would have healed faster. I wish it was big enough to ship sooner.
Sometimes I think so.
To prevent this from happening, daily patrols and management are very important.
Since we are dealing with animals with whom we cannot communicate, we ask whether there are any strange reactions or movements, whether the food and water are fresh, whether they are eating enough, whether there is enough to last the next morning, whether the temperature and humidity are causing stress, etc. We manage the physical condition of our pigs on a daily basis, paying close attention to information that can be sensed with our eyes, ears, and skin.
Healthy pigs are delicious!
And it makes a lot of meat!
Although there is still a lot to learn and I am not used to it, I will continue to work hard every day to deliver high quality and delicious pork to everyone.
Thank you for your continued support.
