There are about 300 sheep in Ark Tategamori. About 220 of them were eligible for this year's shearing. It took from the end of Golden Week in May to the end of June, and I was able to finish cutting. Visitors at this time of the year may have seen a mixture of sheep that have been sheared and sheep that have not yet been sheared.
What do you think about the hair that has been cut? Some people may think that we make sweaters out of yarn, but unfortunately Ark Tategamori does not do that. Instead, it is mixed with compost and used as a raw material for fertilizer. It goes to the fields and becomes raw material for new crops.
It is quite difficult to make use of wool, but we are trying to help even a little.
