It's starting to feel like autumn, with the mornings and evenings getting cooler.
Today I would like to talk about the ponies and donkeys on the farm.
At Wanpaku Hiroba, we often hear customers say, "Oh, there's a donkey tied up!"
...The one tied to the tree is a pony.
It is often mistaken.
Ponies (a general term for horses under 147 cm in height) and donkeys are both members of the horse family, but if you look closely, there are actually quite obvious differences.
Difference #1: “Ears”
pony
It has small and cute ears.
donkey
They are large and conspicuous, as mentioned in the fairy tale "The King's Ears Are Donkey's Ears."
Difference #2: “Tail”
pony
Long hairs grow from the roots. This is the origin of the hairstyle "ponytail".
donkey
Only the tip has long hair. It looks more like a cow's tail than a horse's.
Difference #3: “Squeal”
pony
It's similar to the horse-like sound you often hear on TV.
donkey
In fact, they make a sound that is completely different from that of a horse.
...It's a bit hard to describe in words...
You will be surprised when you hear it for the first time.
I can't describe the sound of the sound in words, so please take a photo of it.
(lol).
If you want to hear the sound, please come to the ranch!
If you're lucky, you might hear the sound.
The donkeys are usually quiet, but sometimes they bark when two of them are fighting.
During a fight
You're angry because you're being pranked from behind...(-_-;)
For some reason, the person who pranked me is also screaming (lol)
but,
The two are brothers. We're really good friends~(^-^)
