This time I would like to explain a little about pig breeds.

Pig breeds may be unfamiliar to you unless you have studied agriculture.
Currently, the general pork that has been 3-way hybrid called LWD is the mainstream and it is delivered to everyone's mouth.
This is a piglet born from a piglet born from Landrace, Greater Yorkshire breed parents crossed with a Duroc breed pig.

However, the Tategamori Kogen pork we sell uses a breed of pig called Babcock Swine.
This breed is very rare in Japan, and I have never heard of it since I studied animal husbandry.

This is because the Babcock Swine variety is new in the last few decades.
Babcock Swine is a breed that was born by breeding in the United States, and it is a breed that has been completed by taking the best from the 12 breeds of pigs.
In particular, the deliciousness of the meat has earned a top-class reputation in the world, and you can enjoy delicious meat from red meat to fat.
As a pig, it has a friendly and warm personality, and since it is a breed made by crossing various breeds, it produces piglets with various appearances such as plain, spotted, brown and black.

If you are interested in pig breeds, I think you can learn more about the pork you usually eat by reading books about pig breeds at a nearby library.
