My name is Sawada and I am in my third year at the Pig Farming Division.
Today I will write about 5S activities.

​5S means "sorting, tidying up, cleaning, cleanliness, and discipline."

In the Pig Farming Division, everyone engages in 5S activities once a week.

As for the place I went to recently, I did a deep cleaning of a warehouse that I often use.
I took out everything in the warehouse and cleaned it (it was extremely dusty as it was an outdoor warehouse...)

We not only cleaned, but also organized.
As a new idea, we moved frequently used and heavy items to the entrance side.

(As an aside, each paper bag in the photo weighs 20 kg. It would be quite difficult to carry this bag if there is a place to store it at the back of the warehouse.)
By implementing 5S activities like this, you will create a more conducive working environment.
Also, by doing it together, each person's awareness increases, which leads to maintenance.

We will continue to work towards a shiny farm.
