"Chinsuko" made from Tategamori Highland pork lard

Culinary researcherTeacher Megumi OnoderaUnder his guidance, we are currently developing "Chinsuko" using Tategamori Plateau pork lard as an ingredient.
We have reached the final stage of deciding on the size and shape, but the challenge is that, unlike cookies, the shape easily falls apart.

First of all, "chinsuko" is a small, bite-sized confectionery with a crispy texture and refined sweetness that embodies the rich food culture of Okinawa, and is popular for its crispy texture and refined sweetness. The kanji used for this confectionery is "kinchugao" (gold and silver).

There seem to be two origins for the name "chinsuko."
① "Chin" means "rare" and "suko" means "sweet," so it means "a very rare and precious sweet."
2) "Chin" means "gold" and it means "expensive sweets."

They may be mistaken for cookies, but the ingredients and manufacturing process are different.
Cookies are made by baking dough using flour, eggs, and butter,
Chinsuko is baked using flour, sugar, and lard.

The crispy texture of chinsuko is a distinctive snack that is achieved by using lard.

Our young staff are working hard every day with the aim of starting sales in early November.

All I can do is watch from the shadows, but if there's anything I can say to you,
"I guess it means that in the six months from April to September, my ability to think and act has grown several times over."

We have entered the second half of the year, but first let's work together to move forward toward selling Chinsuko.
