The Ark Tategamori Gotsuo Ekiden will be held on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025.
This is the first time that the relay race will be held, but we have received feedback from runners who have participated in the past "Gotsuo Marathon".
We have posted some of the most frequently asked questions.
Q. Can I participate in both the Gotsuo Marathon and the Gotsuo Ekiden?
A. They are held on different dates, so you can participate in both.
Q: Is the lunch menu the same?
A. Lunch during the Gotsuo Ekiden will only be served at the Restaurant Tils buffet.
All participants will have access to a buffet.
Q: Do we need four people to enter?
A. Once a representative has been decided, it is possible to enter with three or less people first and decide on the members later.
However, cancellations are not possible, so if the members are not decided by the application deadline,

Q: Is the course exactly the same?
A. The basic course is the same, but the start and finish are different. Please see the image below for details.

The relay course is set up as follows: Section 1 is a 4.0km downhill run on the Tategamori Plateau, Sections 2 and 3 are flat but long 6.5km runs, and Section 4 is an anchor, a 4.2km uphill run on the Tategamori Plateau. You can enjoy the relay race while taking in the nature in the fresh air of the Tategamori area, which overlooks the majestic Ou Mountains in the distance.
By the way, "Gotsuo" means "feast," and we have prepared a meal (Restaurant Till's Buffet) that makes generous use of produce from Ark Tategamori, as well as treats to eat during the relay race.We have also included a hot spring bath after the race, and all of this has been packaged as a special gift for the four participants.
